Dr. Ahmed Elhelaly has more than 20 years of medical experience, with specialist expertise in Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) from Zagazig University, Egypt. He then went on to earn his Specialist Certificate in Internal Medicine, followed by a Specialist Certificate in Cardiology, both awarded by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare, Sweden.
Dr. Ahmed is a member of the Emirates Cardiac Society and the European Society of Cardiology. With a comprehensive background in Internal Medicine and a specialist focus in Cardiology, he brings deep clinical insight to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. His areas of expertise include the management of chest pain, heart failure, and arrhythmias, alongside the delivery of non-invasive diagnostic services and patient-centered cardiac care.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Elhelaly served as a Consultant Cardiologist at Novomed and as a Consultant in Internal Medicine at Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital, UAE.
Dr. Ahmed’s scope of practice includes the management of acute and chronic heart conditions, as well as a wide range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including echocardiograms, treadmill stress tests, and Holter monitor interpretations, aimed at providing personalized treatment plans and comprehensive cardiovascular care.
